Logos and Branding for a joint academic research centre

I created a draft suite of logos and branding for a prospective academic research centre, as a joint venture between institutions in Dubai and Oxford. Due to the nature of the research (artificial intelligence) the logo had to convey new technologies, connective strands and new horizons that were possible with the technology.

I drafted many initial options for the logo that were presented to the client to decide which ones had the most potential. The initial options are presented below.
